got a second interview tomorrow…STAR method seems like a landmine

so during the first interview the interviewer said that the second interview would include the STAR method, and just watching dome YouTube videos regarding the STAR method, just makes me want to scream. (for context I was a long time movie theater employee, until my location closed) Examples were like: When was a time you disagreed with your boss? And the only answer that comes to mind is a previous GM who promoted someone (we will call T) who I thought wasn't prepared for a supervisory position, turns out later T sexually harassed underage female staff. And instead of firing him the GM moved him to maintenance where he got paid more than me …until he quit when a tech found him just sitting on the computer in the projection booth. Another example question was tell me about a time you had conflict with a coworker and all I can…

Another example question was tell me about a time you had conflict with a coworker and all I can think of is this one coworker (the one in this story had been a supervisor for maybe 6 months, I had been a supervisor for like 7 years) who would crazy overstock everything, Like we had to put stacks away every night she worked. I looked up how much we had sold the previous week to show her that we weren't busy enough to merit the amount of stock, and tried to explain that she was creating work for both herself and others. However when I tried to talk to her in private she insisted we talk right where we were, in full view of coworkers and customers, she shouted loudly then went to the GM. And the three of us had to have a meeting. Which ultimately resolved nothing, she still got excessive amounts of stock…until she quit a couple months later. (edit to add for clarity I am also a female, so it wan't anything like she didn't feel safe with me alone)

What was a time you dealt with a difficult customer: There was the one person who said she would rather their kids see someone get decapitated than see to men kiss (it was regarding a trailer for Love, Simon…where they don't even kiss) when she called and said that I just put her on hold for my GM to talk to.

Another difficult customer said it was part of my job to risk death…at a movie theater. Because he was angry about us searching his wife's purse. This happened shortly after one of the theater shootings.

Its just giving me anxiety and making me irritated even thinking about these questions
