Hi guys, first time posting here. I just want some outside opinion on my recent problem. So I got laid off 2 weeks ago and I’m one of the 3 that got laid off from the company.
Long story short, during my final day, they just asked me to meet them in the office conference room and told me that they’re laying me off effective immediately due to economic downturn. So, I went back to my desk, pack my shit and leave because I was mad.
The next day, I emailed them asking on when I can expect my final paycheck since the pay system are paid every 2 weeks and they have not given me my last paycheck. As far as I understand, in the state of Texas, employee is required to pay the person that got laid off of a maximum of 6 days. It’s been 2 weeks and I have not heard anything from them. I’ve been calling them and they have been ignoring me. Please help, I’m beyond frustrated at this point.
I just want my final paycheck.
