I’ve been at this job for only about 8 months or so and I really like it for the most part. They have been really great! The problem started when my son started preschool this fall and he’s never been to daycare or anything before hand so naturally, he’s been getting sick and the entire house sick A LOT. I have a baby as well and since September we have been sick pretty much with everything imaginable, and have had three hospital visits/stays between the two kids. Covid, RSV, strep, flu you name it we got it. It’s literally something every week. My work has been very understanding and I’ve been working at home around once a week or so, when I’ve been sick as to not get others infected by whatever plaque we currently have. I always get my work done and am responsive. It may take me a little longer sometimes but over all it’s been nice being able to work even when sick so I don’t have to take time off etc.
Well, that ended today since I guess some of my coworkers complained I’m slower and not as easy to reach at home so I can no longer work from home and need to be in the office.
I have something now where I have a fever so I stayed home to work since I knew I would be contagious. Got told to come in and have a meeting where they said it’s becoming to much and I have to come in after today.
Fine. I’ll come in sick as shit if they want. I don’t care if they get sick now, I was just trying to be courteous. Fuck me right?
The ones that complained to are able to work from home to. I’m irritated.
