Had a shower thought this am. During Covid we incentivized companies to keep staff even if their revenue declined (PPP). Why are we not disincentivizing them from laying off people? Force 6-12 months severance or increase taxes so that the Government can pay unemployment are two easy things to do fairly quickly.
