Could I please get some feedback on this? Good, bad, indifferent, and maybe some suggestions that you think could be important to address.
I work as a psychotherapist in a collectively run practice. I imagine this group therapy might be more for those not already involved in long term union work but first coming to grips with the abuse we all receive from working in a capitalist society in general and exploitation of a given workplace more specifically.
Here is a basic description of the group, “Group therapy for toxic work environments is a form of therapy that brings together a group of individuals who have experienced similar difficulties in their workplace. The goal of the therapy is to provide a supportive and safe space for individuals to share their experiences, feelings, and coping strategies. The group therapy sessions focus on building a sense of community and validation among group members, as well as promoting pro-worker attitudes and behaviors. This can include discussing ways to advocate for oneself and others in the workplace, learning effective communication skills, and building resilience and self-care strategies. Overall, the goal of the therapy is to empower individuals to make positive changes in their work environment and improve their overall well-being.”
