Had a baby this spring

I had a baby a few months ago. My job, despite being open for 35+ years and being woman-owned and always preaching about woman empowerment, never had a maternity policy before. They “never needed one” – apparently nobody’s ever been pregnant before. My previous manager, who quit 2 months before I gave birth, had informed them I would work full time remote until I was able to obtain full time childcare. There was no issue with this. My new manager, previously my colleague in my department, along with the owner’s husband, called a last minute meeting last month. The owners of my company have rescinded my ability to work full time from home because they’re old fashioned. They included my infant daughters name in this contract I had to sign. Outright quitting isn’t an option as my firstborn starts college this fall. They’re f*cking themselves out of the most dedicated employee they’ve ever had. I won’t be there by 7/1… i already know the energy will be toxic once I get back & will be the last straw.
