Had a Zoom interview with the district manager today.

Umm…OK. No one's ever had a problem with head nods or an “uh huh” during a virtual meeting before.

Second, the Jackson Hewlett store is in a Walmart. I was told I have to WALK INTO THE WALMART and convince people to do a tax return. “Talk to the Walmart employees and get to know their names, ask family and friends too. Ask people who they do their tax returns with and convince them to come to Jackson Hewlett”. Ewww.

No. Fuck this shit. I didn't know job duties included chasing random customers down in the middle of Walmart and convincing them to do tax returns with you. To be honest, I assumed that people would book scheduled appointments with us, and I would do their tax return when they come in. Like a…normal office?

Please don't tell me H&R Block also requires tax preparers to chase people down on the street and persuade them to become customers too.
