This just happened and I had to post on my alternate. I was discussing an employee who worked there for a long time but was making less than the newer people. Way less. Wanted to bump him up and HR was peeved and wanted to know how the employee knew the pay rates and I stated that everyone talks. She tried to hit me with we need to discourage that because it is “ gossip “. Lol. I said it is federally protected and I cannot. I only know this thanks to this sub.
Oh well good news. I got my employee the raise.
