Okay so I work in childcare, with babies. For awhile I worked by myself & the cook (M,30) would come and give me bathroom breaks & bring the food, etc. it was nice to have someone to talk to when he came in the room.
M has a girlfriend T, that also works there. They both give off weird vibes but they were nice to be so I dismissed it.
Well M started following me into rooms (like the laundry room) and just making excuses to hangout in my room for 30+ minutes.
I went to my boss about this (this was in October) and they talked to him about it. So it stopped for awhile.
Things came to a head when his gf told me verbatim “me and M are looking for a 3rd, don’t tell anyone” meaning like 3some or triad relationship.
Now M being creepy just felt even worse. I went to both my bosses & told them this. They didn’t schedule T to work with me anymore & said nothing to M.
Well I’m still being creeped out. He’s still finding excuses to come in the room, hiding paper towels and other supplies in the bathroom in my room.
I went to my boss via email and I was ignored. I called in twice and emailed AGAIN & it was finally taken seriously. Or so I thought. I talked to them again today and they said my concerns were valid but “they’re both just socially awkward, he’s trying to make connections, he’s trying to do his job.”
So I put my two weeks in. They didn’t even go to HR for advice on what to do. I was never given a HR number and when I asked if they contacted HR they were silent. Idk if they can tell me anything but still.
I’m more angry than anything else. This was a place I loved and now I no longer feel safe working. They’re short on cooks and bus drivers so this is how it has to be I guess.
