Has anyone heard of this?

https://www.wsj.com/articles/you-work-for-a-company-should-you-own-it-too-11649429065?mod=djintinvestor_t&mod=djem_WealthJournal This popped up in my WSJ feed summaries. However I don’t have subscription to the full article cos Wall Street doesn’t deserve any more money from me. What’s interesting is that in the excerpt they mentioned that firms had tried this before, but has left the workers poorer than before… and they quote “it’s a challenge to make mini capitalists” Im really curious as to the find details on past endeavors of making workers shareholders resulted in them being poorer. If anyone can get the full article a post in the reply would be much appreciated!
