Has anyone quit FT employment to start their own business?

Hi everyone. I'm a social worker at a hospital in Canada. I'm completely burnt out. Currently taking some time off to catch up on the massive pile of things I couldn't do while working because the job was destroying me. And I mean even doing simple things, like paying a bill or going to medical appts felt impossible with how exhausted I was. Honestly, the job itself wasn't horrible, the field is meaningful to me, but I have a horrible manager who constantly micromanages me and is extremely condescending, which has killed my self esteem and motivation to go above and beyond in the work. I'm dreading returning to work, and am considering quitting altogether to start a private practice. I have a few months of savings so I know I will be okay as long as I watch my spending and actually put in the work to get the…
