I work at a family owned restaurant and when I was hired, I was told the job responsibilities by the person who trained me which didn’t include training new hires. She left 3 weeks later after I got hired and ever since, I’ve been told to train new employees
I hate training new employees because I don’t have the patience. I have many responsibilities that I have to fulfill on a deadline before my shift ends and training new employees makes it very difficult. On top of that, I get paid minimum wage, I don’t get paid more to train new hires.
I didn’t know what I was getting myself into because when I first applied and when I got hired and also trained to do my work, I wasn’t told that I’d be training people. Just a little rant. I’m so upset lol. I dread going to work every time someone is hired, and yes we have a high turnover rate for my position.
