Have you quit your job without a plan in place?

Ever since I started at this new company it has been one change after another from what was said to get me to leave my comfy WFH position and change paths in my career. I am looking for other jobs, but none of them fit what I want, and I’m tempted to reach out to my old employer and ask them to take me back. They weren’t perfect but certainly better than what I am dealing with right now. Is it foolish to just quit and do side hustles (Amazon flex, Etsy, doordash) to get by until I find something else? I’m miserable and disappointed I took this job at all tbh. I was so excited for a change of pace, but it’s not at all what it was cracked up to be. Mostly venting I guess, but would like to hear any advice or experience one might have on…
