For a little backstory of my profession, I’m a work at home contact center representative, and I’ve been noting down and documenting, typing exchanges, etc, etc of exchanges before making a wage claim. here is a couple issues I’m having:
Firstly, after I’ve been texting others, and screenshotting exchanges it’s up to a point people are restless. I’ve been asking about when back pay will be issued and I haven’t received a date.
Secondly, I’m taking steps to talk to HR and contact them, but when I called their were no answer.
Thirdly, The entire team was basically told “That’s a bummer.” As if it’s not an important issue at hand by one of the team leads. Warnings or red flags I’ve documented is that the team leads do not care, predominately the people who aren’t paid are woman of color, or people with learning disabilities. In which I am/have both.
I’ve talked to my team lead about this, (Two are there to help and one to supervise the interaction, but this time I spoke with the person supervising the interaction.) she said we all should be paid wage correctly now, but I am not trusting, and feel as if I’m being scammed. I’m looking for a new job now, but I want to hit them harder, I’m pissed atm. I’m tired of waiting after 7 weeks… what should I do?
