A company has been chasing me down for months now trying to get me to come work for them. I’m currently in sales and make a decent living (base+commission+car allowance=140k approx). The new company is offering 150k base no commission + company vehicle + large bonus at the end year based off performance. I currently work from home and travel 30-40% of the time, which I like. The new company tells me I can work from home but is unclear how much they’d me to travel, even though my territory will be the same. I’ve been with my current employer for 5 years, and even though management has changed and other departments cause me stress, it’s not a bad place to work and I enjoy what I do. My concern is that while the grass may look greener on the other side, I obviously do not want to enter a position where I’m unhappy and have now burned a bridge and been replaced.
