I really want to go on a work trip to an expo a supplier is having. They're offering complimentary travel and hotel but my manager refuses even though there is a procedure to get it approved if there's no conflict which there isn't. She doesn't want to spend our company's money on it because she doesn't think there's enough business justification. So she doesn't want to pay or let them pay. I personally don't care I just want to travel.
Can anyone suggest a good corporate speak business justification for me going? Basically it's one of our top 5 suppliers having a customer expo on supply chain solutions. I work in supply chain, in procurement. I told her I thought it was a good idea because we can learn how to better utilize them as our strategy involves expanding them to other locations in the country. That didn't convince her and she asked me to look more into it
