Here is my draft so far:
“hey _____
hope you’re well and sorry to bother you over the weekend.
Everything looks fine except the proposed salary of $55000 a year, which is $26.44 an hour, as in my last role i was receiving $62500, which is 30 an hour, the figure I said was my minimum in my interview.
As well in future there is talk of me working on the weekend, and on an annualised salary I won’t be entitled to weekend penalty rates.
As i was under the impression I’d be working weekends, when i took the interview, i was also was under the impression id be making weekend penalty rates.”
Thanks for any advice or pointers you guys could give me with drafting a better email 🙂 for context i live in sydney and a $30/hour job isnt uncommon, and is probably the minimum liveable wage here.
