this is my first post here so be gentle. (+ sorry if i messed up)
i work at a school/accredited daycare while i work on my teaching degree, and i’ve been there about 3 months.
i love my job, and i have since the day i started, but there’s one coworker i had who, after finding out i am a lesbian, made some very gross and extremely homophobic comments. (i won’t go into details, but it involved how gay people ‘force’ their ‘gayness’ onto everyone along with her general negative feelings about the gay community.)
i got so uncomfortable from the encounter that i went back to my coteachers and cried. and i shared this with only one other coworker besides one who was a witness.
homophobe left in june, saying she was going away for the summer and probably wouldn’t be back, so i didn’t bother telling HR or my bosses. howeverrrrr, my boss has since heard about it, and i just found out homophobe is returning to work after the summer.
is it too late to report it? it’s been close to 2 months, and i’m wondering if i would be better off just telling my boss to keep her out of my classroom.
