Long story short, corporate vet owned by candy company is evil.
I have taken a position at a new job which pays more, and better/stable hours. I am waiting on a bg check and drug test that I should pass easily, however I am still nervous I will fail,
My original plan was to make my last day tomorrow (Wednesday) and have several days off before my start date next week for the new job.
Now I'm hesitant about that and want to give notice that my last day is Sat (scheduled to work then), even tho my bg check/drug test haven't come back. I do have a written offer letter tho. I have a bit of money saved up, and I am waiting for a staffing agency to get back w/ me on some jobs, so I wouldn't be out of work long if something went wrong. Plus I have other ways to get a bit of money (r/beermoney type stuff).
Encourage me, Antiwork. Should I give my notice today while waiting for everything to come back? It's been about a decade since I gave work a short notice on quitting. My last job that I did it on was upset, but I didn't give a shit.
