So for Context a few months ago I was doing interviews in the southern United States to find a job. and a company got back to me. They were a donations company that helped raise awareness and such. think standing in front of a store taking money with a bell. The interview process was three days at 20 mins a piece and I lived an hour away. no biggie the said great pay… well throughout the first two they continuously dodged the big question. Finally on the third day I told the lady look, how many hours and how much pay! She said You come in at 7:15 every morning Monday through Saturday, at 9 you'll get in a company car and go to the sponsored location where you'll take donations until around 10 that night. Then you'll come back to office, right up your donations and be out each night sometime around 11:30ish. I said ok but what about pay, like three or four times during all that. She goes finally at the end, “and the pay is donation based” I'm like Wtf!, and She says +, “yes you'll receive thirty percent of whatever you bring in for donations that day and it'll be deducted from the total right up that night!” i politely declined and left. cause i feel disgusted taking people's money for charity knowing i'm pocketing a sum and god knows how much my boss pockets off the other 70 percent. I met up with another guy who decided to stay recently. after he left he told me he got a job in the office and apparently the office gets a 60 percent cut of the total for the week meaning the actual charity is only receiving a whole lot of 10 percent at the end of the day!
