So I work in a mechanic shop for semi trucks and refer trailers back in December I was seriously injured on the job and also have lots of complications due to the injury so I am under workman's comp work restrictions (no lifting sitting work only avoid areas that are slip risks) last week I got told I am needed in the refuel bay. An area that is very slippery when it is raining or wet. I told my foreman that I can't It's not safe and against my work restrictions. He said I had to but I refused. He called my manager on his day off to have him tell me to do it or go home. To which I asked if I was being fired if I go home he said no actions will be taken against me. So I went home and called the safety department and turned them both in and to my understanding they were just talked to Idk and probably won't know. Now My foreman has taken it upon himself to “babysit” while I sit in an office and file paperwork. He has also started nitpicking everything I do saying I'm not following company policy over stupid shit like not wearing a uniform when our uniforms are up a flight of stairs . There are more but for anonymous reasons I can't go into much more details .What can I do who can I talk to about this because it feels like a form of retaliation. I can't just quit unfortunately because my injury would make it really hard to get a job elsewhere
