Ok so I work online pick up at a big grocery store (Idk if I can name it or not). In it we usually have a few people shopping for the on line orders and one person making sure to take the orders out. Our system prints out orders 2 hours before the customers. Our last orders are always at 7 pm so they print at 5. We can't print them earlier.
This has happened for the last week or so but, they scheduled everyone really weirdly so that there would only be one person after 5:30 because ig they think we don't need any more people. Turns out we really do because the person who's supposed to leave at 5:30 never goes home on time unless we're lucky and don't have 7 pm orders.
The solution would be to have someone stay later right? Turns out they won't do that because we need people at other times of the day too. They aren't even attempting to hire more people because apparently online the position isn't even showing.
We only have 11 people and 3 of them are minors so they can't always work late.
Back to today the same thing happened but turns out management just cut everyone's hours for some reason. This isn't the first time they did this but this time it's really going to mess with us because whoever is closing is screwed. Hopefully they realize that we really need to either update the system or have 2 people closing but damn this shit sucks.
