Ill try to make this as short as i can.
Basically, a few days ago, my roommates and i got an email stating that we'd had a complaint about cleanliness and that they would be inspecting in 2 days if we didnt send pictures of our place that met their standards by then. So, my roommates and i got together and cleaned up the place (even though it was already pretty clean), took the pictures, and sent them in an email. The housing people sent a condescending email about how these are the “before photos” and they need to see the “after photos” this ticked me off, and i emailed them demanding to know what specific problems they had with the pictures and asking to see a copy of the complaint. They answered neither of the questions satisfactorily, just giving a vague not good enough answer. We looked through the staff accommodation handbook to see what we may have missed but found nothing. The housing person implied that i didnt help clean and i said “nah, u wrong” more or less.
Anyway, today, while i was at work, a housing person called me, and when i said i was at work, she immediately got hostile starting off with “why did you answer your phone then” and going from there. She had the gall to ask why i was being hostile when she had a hostile tone from the get go. Finally, about at the end of this call, she asked if i wanted ex pics to know what my place should look like, to which i said “please. That would be perfect”, and she ended with an ominous “we'll see what we can do with housing” and that she wanted a sit-down meeting with my manager and hr. I emailed hr detailing this and saying this seems like retaliation and harassment to me. Does anybody have suggestions on what to do or say? Anybody experienced something similar before? Thank you.
