how do I get my building to follow bathroom rules??
I work in a warehouse and our bathroom is in the back of it and not supposed to be a public bathroom. I have expressed this several times to upper management as the warehouse can get pretty packed and dangerous. Also customers tend to piss everywhere and not give a fuck about keeping our bathrooms clean. They're totally fine on truck days as those are 100% no customers allowed day since we are unloading and walking around everywhere. Only we use the restrooms. I'm the one to put a chain up every truck day to make sure 95% of people don't just walk in.
I hate customers coming back into the employee work area and thinking its something they have all access to in general. I've had to tell customers that the products being sold are out on the floor and the warehouse is for employees only as it is hazardous.
I just yelled at some kids who thought it was a good idea to start playing with our hammers while waiting for mom in the warehouse. Manager just said “good job”. Nothing about closing it off (although I did put the chain up that customers still dont think applies to them)
If I complain anonymously, it'll still be obvious it was me since I'm the only one who complains. I like my job. They are super helpful (I have seizures and they help a ridiculous amount. I have zero worries about my job) and awesome to get along with otherwise.
District manager typivally comes on days I'm not here so idk how they handle the bathroom then. They have come in on truck days when I work but bathroom is closed off most of the time anyway.
I have no clue what to do!
