I work part time retail and I've never called in sick before as its not paid. I won't be able to come in tomorrow so I'm going to call the manager and say, “Sorry, I won't be able to come in today. I'm sick.”
But I know she'll immediately asks how sick, what kind of sickness etc
I have a heavy fever, frequent dizziness, and constantly feeling as if im about to throw up. But I don't think i should have to say nothing more than, Sorry, I won't be able to come in today. I'm sick.
So when she asks more questions about my sickness, what should I say?
I don't want to be rude as I'm 19 and she's 51 and if Im rude, she'll make comments whenever I'm next on shift with her.
