My boss at work has gone from passive aggression to demeaning micromanaging. I am no longer treated as a professional with 15 yrs of experience.
I'm hired At Will. I'm not sure how to apply for unemployment in case I get fired. I need to file with the unemployment office, but I also need some sort of documentation, right? I've never applied for unemployment and I could really use like the big obvious steps on how to do so just in case I need to. I don't think she'll fire me, but it's so much peace of mind to have a plan B in case things go down.
It'd be great to get a sense of how to do it, and also what the whole process looks like overall, what to expect. I think I have a sense, but let's start from ground zero and assume that I know nothing – like my boss does :p
For reference, I'm a copywriter. As per usual in my field, my boss doesn't grasp the difference between a writer and a typist. I'm guessing this will determine the kind of documentation I might need to bring to Unemployment.
Thanks so much!
