How do I protect myself in case my boss catches me talking about wages at work?

Hello. I don't know if this is the right place to ask, so I'm sorry if not. So, currently I work as a cashier at a local grocery store. The other night while facing the store, I talked with my coworker about our shitty wages (I make $11.50, he makes $10.50/hr) and how terrible the US is in general. There's cameras in the store, and this isn't the first time I've talked about bullshit like this (never in front of managers tho bc there's no managers up front, only to other cashiers) While I recognize this is illegal to forbid at work, and I'm not necessarily in danger if I lose my job (I still live with my parents, only bill I have is my phone bill), I'm still anxious they'll talk to me about it. If the conversation is brought up, I want to be able to protect myself…

If the conversation is brought up, I want to be able to protect myself and my coworker against anything my boss could say.

How should I prepare, and how should I go about it? Looking into company policy is definitely a no-brainer, but is there anything else I should do?
