I am looking to resign from my shitty minimum wage job as I was offered a better salaried position yesterday. However, the new job wants me to start next Monday which doesn't leave time for me to give my two weeks notice at my current job. And to top it all off my current boss recently chewed me out over the phone and hung up on me for a situation I was not responsible for. I'm thinking of saying “Please accept this as my formal resignation from (Company). I have received notification yesterday that I have been offered a position with a company headquartered close to my home and have decided to take their offer. My last day will be Friday June 9th. My apologies for the short notice. Thank you for the opportunity to work here.” What do I do?
