How do people find work from home jobs where they have a lot of free time?

I want to work from home after hearing how little work some people do at their jobs. For example: they talk about how they only do 3 hours of work in a 8 hour shift and get to do what they want. This sounds like a dream job to me. My only problem is many jobs require a degree or years of experience (though I'm sure this is true for every entry level job). I did go to community college for 3 to 5 year but I dropped out and don't have a degree. I do know some computer skills like MS office, I'm a fast typer, and I did work at a computer repair shop as a intern for a year. I want to know what career field should I get into where I can work remote and have lots of downtime?
