Have a “production” engineer, I have to say “production” because I thought he was an engineer who could do my work (he's the engineer for my line, THE WORK I DO) but found out, “He's not that kind of engineer.” WTH does that mean?
Well simply put, “He can't do the work I do.” THEN WHY IS HE THE ENGINEER FOR MY LINE, WITH TITLE AND PAY TO REFLECT THAT?
Anyways, he's taken the week off (He's on salary), he doesn't do anything and anytime someone ask him for something, he say's hes to busy and makes up a distant day that he can help, sometimes months away. (For some reason, no one higher up questions this.)
So, I went to Colorado recently for training on a new system that my company does work for. They paid for travel, hotel (in a shitty area) and gave me a VERY small amount of per diem.
I came back to a MOUNTAIN of work, no one did my job, apparently now that I learned, “He's not that kind of engineer.” no one can do my job here.
So he's gone for the week (big deal, he doesn't do anything anyways), floor manager comes out and tells me to finish setting up some systems on this shitty engineer's production line.
I'm not doing it, I think I'm going to tell him, that I'm not going to do it.
I CAN do my job and HIS job, but he can't do my job.
Why does he get to do less than me, know less than me BUT get paid more and put on salary?
