How do some of you find yourselves financially capable of just walking out of a job?

This is a legitimate question. I’m a millennial. I know work sucks. I’ve had terrible jobs. I’ve wanted to quit plenty of days. But I have a responsibility to my family. Is this a gen z thing? I am all about going somewhere that you will be appreciated and finding alternatives if you’re not happy. It just seems so financially irresponsible to just quit. Statistics show most people do not have any money saved for emergencies in this country. And yes, I know you can say your mental health is your priority but what would your mental health be without medical insurance and being homeless? I just…I don’t get it. Maybe most of these stories are works of fiction.
