I work with children and get paid a reasonable amount. My co workers are planning on spending money out of their own pockets to celebrate Halloween with the kids at our program. We have an order form where we can request certain items and our job will give us what we want but they wouldn’t come in time for Halloween. I told my co worker I refuse to spend my own money on things for work and she looked at me funny. Am I bitter or weird for this? For future projects and parties I plan on having work pay for it. For Halloween I printed activities out and have games planned but food wise we will be having our normal snack because I’m not going out of my way to pay for extra food.
