Every time I watch an American reality show people always live in huge beautiful houses. And I don’t mean reality shows about rich people. It can be documentaries about different subjects, about obesity or a makeover show or whatever, where it’s mentioned the person works as a kindergarten teacher or a nurse but still live in a very beautiful large home.
Then I see posts here about American people really struggling and living pay check to pay check. And there also seem to be many homeless people living in their car/a tent and crazy stuff like that.
So what’s it really like for those of you with a very average job and salary. Do you have a nice home or do you need to share with flatmates? Have you been homeless or close to it?
