Hi. I work in a PCC and get 2 weeks off annually and from that I’m required to set aside 4 days which is taken out of my leave days for Christmas week when college is closed.
I get 6 sick days annually. Now I’ve been applying for federal jobs and gotten shortlisted for a few roles. But assessment for each role involves written tests and interviews for which I need to take time off from work. But I don’t really have that many days and I’ve almost used up all my sick days too.
I’m just wondering what others do in similar situations. Do you spend your annual leave days for attending interviews and such? Sometimes I also feel guilty for calling in sick when I’m fine and just attending interviews.
