Quick summary: I work as a consultant for a software company and really enjoy my job. Unfortunately, I was recently given a promotion and more responsibilities but a 0% raise. It’s made me question what I should do next.
I’ve been working with a client that I have a great relationship with, and I’m tempted to ask him if he’d be interested in hiring me to continue my work with him full time.
Would it be inappropriate to have this conversation? I feel like he’d be interested, but I’m not sure of how to approach it. My company really rubbed me the wrong way with this move.
