How long do you think I can go before getting fired? Hybrid worker to remote

I work in the marketing dept of a huge bank. I mainly write for social media and other campaigns that need content. I’m required to be in the office 50% of the time, and my MD looks at attendance on a quarterly basis (I usually go one week in, one week out, makes no difference). I’m finding that I hate NYC—I hate living here and everything about it, it’s just not for me. Been her for almost two years now. I really want to move back to where I’m from (Seattle) in June. There’s a copywriter on my team who works fully remote but they have a doctors note allowing them to do so. They’ve also been at this job for 15 years vs my 1 year. I like this job. It pays well and it’s not hard work. I am really good at it too and I feel needed.…

I am really good at it too and I feel needed. But I really want to be remote. I could ask to be remote, but I doubt they’ll allow me because our ceo wants every worker to be in office by next year probably.

So what I’m asking is, if I move and don’t tell anyone, how long do you think it would take for me to get fired if I continued to do all my work, but still moved even though they said I couldn’t be remote?
