I can't seem to understand why some people desire to go back to the office. The pandemic was the best thing that happened to the work culture in terms of offering flexible workplace or even remote jobs.
I can't for real understand why someone would want to drive their car, or take the public transport, or for what ever means, to an office, sit there and do the same job that could be done at home or even in some other place. Whats the point with all that nonsense? I feel like I get more done when I am working from home. If I want to do the laundry, I am going to do the laundry. Do I want to service my car? I got time for that. If I want to go to the store to buy daily needs, groceries or whatever, I can do that and not bother with crowded places.
Who else feels the same? I have office work and to be in an office. It have come to a point that I switched jobs because of this and to be fair, I told the new employeer that I wanted to work remote and as of now, there is no concerns yet, but the moment they start to make shit up, they can scout for someone else to do the job.
Screw office politics, screw office culture and work culture and toxic enviroments forcing you to stay isolated 8 hours in a office you don't even enjoy.
I am saving money and hopefully I can escape this shitty office culture even if its forced for one day a month or whatever. I don't hate the idea of working, I like to work with what I do or what I want to do, but I don't like being in an office, because that way, I can get more out of a work-free life and still make money while I work.
