How much of this is my fault?

Hello r/antiwork, long time listener first time caller. Anyway. I recently took a new job and the terms of employment were, in short, vague. I interviewed under the impression that I was being hired for a day shift position, with alternate weekends and flexibility to cover afternoon shift on occasion. After about three weeks on the job, I was informed that I was being sent to afternoons indefinitely, with a possibility of moving back to days after six months. I had no issues covering afternoons for emergencies or vacations or whatever. Same with the weekends, I understood what I was getting into there. But I never would have taken the job if I knew it was a possibility that I would end up permanently on the afternoons. Obviously the company understanding of “flexible hours” and my understanding were not the same. My question for y'all is: How much of this…

Obviously the company understanding of “flexible hours” and my understanding were not the same. My question for y'all is: How much of this is my fault for my own naivetĂ©, and how much of this is the company being scummy?
