Hear me out for a second.
Everyone I talk to says “get your LinkedIn profile right and apply there.”
Get to LinkedIn and I find everyone there is either a scam, lowballs like hell or is some automated group that rains hell with no intention to pay. Apply for something, I'm underqualified. Apply for ten others, overqualified.
Same thing with CVs. I spend so many hours “tailoring” my CV and cover letter, only to get FLAT OUT ghosted.
Then, in the rare event that I do get called for an interview, the bait and switch happens.
Don't like it? Start your own thing, people say. Am I supposed to magic six figures out of the corner of my room to do so?
Anyone else have any ideas? I'm done.
