I just got laid off and I’m tired of being someone else’s employee. I’m planning on starting my own carpet cleaning business. The goal would be to eventually grow the business (maybe 3 trucks and 3 to 4 employees).
I’m trying to be an ethical business owner and eventual employer. I’m planning on charging customers fair prices for the services and offer discounts for lower income or otherwise in need people. For employees, I’m planning on offering good wages for the field along with profit-based bonuses, 401k matching, 8 weeks PTO/sick & free training.
Can anyone offer some advice or opinions on anything else I should consider doing to make sure I’m as ethical as possible?
