I’ve been a Teamster for 18 years. Recently found out a coworker has been trying to decertify the union.
A member of management allowed said coworker to take over the end of a meeting and try and coerce his colleagues to sign his petition to decertify the union, which is essentially the company condoning it. I’m pretty sure that’s illegal. I’ve emailed our teamster lawyer, and they said they’ll call management to tell them it’s not allowed.
Is our lawyer not advocating enough for us? It seems this would be a referral to the NLRB? Am I wrong? Thanks
