So i work for a local hospital. I don't mind the work I'm doing here but I absolutely hate the place and some coworkers and my boss.
The hospital is organizing a summer party next month with music, alcohol, food, think a fun summer concert but a lot less fun. To top it off it's on a Thursday from 5pm until around midnight, we work on Friday…
I have no interest in staying late on a Thursday with people I already see more than my own family and people who I don't really like. But the whole office is saying they'll go and if someone has doubt, they're basically putting social pressure on u so you'll come anyway.
I haven't told them I don't want to come yet, but how can I let them know I have no interest in the event and just want to go home when my shift ends at 4 without coming over wrong?
