I can’t change my job at the moment.
I just recently moved to a new country, don’t have many connections etc and I can’t just change my job just yet.
Trust me, it’s coming. But I need to stay here for at least 6 to 12 more months.
Question: how can I survive the toxic work environment I am currently in?
The place seems as if it is stuck in 19th century.
People are openly racists, sexists, narcissistic and a lot of other -ists”
I was told that if anyone would join a union there would be a way to get rid of them from work without a hustle, and that it happened in the past.
Managers do what they want, and there is so many people that are related to each other, married to someone’s sister etc. so there is plenty of “clicks”. The gossip mill is operating at overtime as well. I feel sometimes I’m working in a kindergarten.
I just don’t know how to coop with all this and keep my sanity and moral compass until a time that I can leave.
any advice is welcome.
