My friend just told me this story. They are a Starbucks corporate employee. They were in a Zoom meeting when the supervisor (the only one in the office today) started talking aside to someone. It was Howard Schultz, and he got on the video to rant about how nobody was in the office, and how “disappointed” he is to come in just to see the empty desks. So everyone needs to sacrifice their convenience and productivity to make an old man feel better. Sounds about right.
