Just want to vent a bit (on mobile sorry for typos). I've had increasing issues with my manager and non profit that I've worked at for the past 8 years (that is a story for a talk, too much to type out). The latest faux pas is my 2 month baby still isn't on my insurance plan. They can only be added through my employer.
It took about a month to get baby's birth certificate, and I filled out a qualifying life event form to add them and then sent in the birth certificate once I got it. Fast forward a month of me contacting hr multiple times a week asking if everything is good and getting no response.
My babies next appointment is in 2 days, and if they are not on my insurance I can either reschedule and delay the care of my newborn or pay $1200. Fun options. Thank you employer for holding my families Healthcare hostage. With the Supreme courts overturning of roe v Wade shouldn't my baby have gotten on my insurance while still just a fetus in my partners uterus?
Anyone else experience this? Do I have any recourse other than being a pain to my employer until they address it?
