There's a ramp at my work that has been slippery for months. Over four months to be exact. Employees have complained about it being a safety hazard for that amount of time as well. Last Wednesday, I slipped and messed up my back while trying to stay upright. The ramp was scheduled to be fixed with non-slip paint a few days after that, but my back is still hurt.
I feel like they ignored the issue for months, and as a result I now have a sore and weak back. I complained about the ramp several times before the injury. I'm wondering what I should do next. I don't think there's a legal case. I reported it to OSHA, but with the ramp now already fixed, not sure if they can do/prove anything. Should I just file a complaint with HR and quit? There is a paper trail of prior complaints as well. Any advice would be appreciated (even if it just good back stretches)!
