I am an adult. Why do I need to fill out an “exit ticket” after a meeting or professional development session like I’m still in high school or something?

I get that exit tickets have been a trend in education for a few years now. I also understand wanting feedback after giving a presentation. But requiring adults to fill out exit tickets in order to receive credit for attendance just seems wrong, especially when it isn’t even anonymous. No, I am NOT going to write down a couple of “takeaways” (Another buzzword I’ve come to hate.) and a reflection of how I can use those takeaways in future practice while on my work journey along with questions I can ask myself, or whatever nonsense they manage to come up with on those questionnaires. Can we stop this idiocy, please?
