Ever since the pandemic started I just want to work from home or make money online. I have been applying to jobs constantly and I have gotten maybe hundreds of resume rejections. I will see job offers that only require a quiet workspace, fast typing, a HS diploma, and good wifi connection and even these remote jobs reject me. I don't want to work in a normal workplace where I have to deal with traffic, racist co workers, micromanagement, the need to look busy and so on.
My work experience: I am currently working as a security guard and I have been working here for over 4 years now. Currently I am tired of it and wanting a career change. Prior to this I worked at a computer repair shop for half a year. Before that I would help my dad at his store that he owns. I did go to community college for 3 years but dropped out. I also know quite a bit of Microsoft office programs with the exception of excel and I am a fast typer. So I should be getting jobs like Level 1 Help Desk, or Virtual Assistant, or Data Entry even. I don't want to go back to school for 4 years to learn a degree only to end up thousands of dollars in student debt. I also don't want to work in a office prior before hand due to the reasons listed above. Both my mom and my aunt were able to get a remote job but they had years of office experience before they had to get one. I was wondering how can I qualify for more remote positions without going back to school or having to work in a office prior or what is the easiest skills to learn that will land me a remote job?
