I work for a home warranty company in which it is pretty small but the team I am in literally carries the company. Authorizing claims, dealing with escalations, part orders, calling homeowners to tell them what the coverage offers ect.
The past year has been a train wreck our team went from 20 people to 5 working employees -7 if you include the leads. Throughout that time we have picked up loads of delayed claims , escalations , calls , you name it.
I got a good raise my first year a 6 percent which is unheard of.
My second year I literally did more than my whole team got so many shoutouts ( btw no bonuses here but we get gift cards one a year if we drive to the training office 45 minutes away) and all I got was a 60 cent raise bringing my hourly to 21.93
To say I was disappointed was a understatement. Our whole team was so upset the ceo knew it and had a “functional “ meeting about trying to justify our tiny raise while talking about how we spent millions to merge with other company’s.
Did I mention our company has less than 150 employees?
Well we hired a customer service rep within the company which starts at 18 an hour ( they also do SO MUCH less than our team ) I learned she’s making 22.50
I just am done I’m done working my tail off and I am trying to conjure up a perfect way to explain to my boss I deserve a better raise.
My performance review was excellent I am a hard worker and they NEED ME they said it themselves. I guess it’s time to start the job hunt again
