I don't hate my current position or coworkers. My supervisors are great. The problem is the aged rules. That office is being dragged into remote work kicking and screaming. When a certain illness started some of the office was allowed to work from home. The ones that already did the majority of their work fully on the computer. My department is heavy in paperwork. I suggested something last year that would have made it possible to go to at least a hybrid schedule. They have finally implemented that idea. Yet we are still fully in office. It irks me to no end at the moment because I live an hour from work and am just starting to walk with crutches again after foot surgery. Even a hybrid schedule would be helpful. In short, I'm tired of the company dragging it's feet.
I have found and accepted a new position doing the same thing for a new company that is more work from home friendly. I still will make about the same but after I get through training I can work fully remote and they provide the equipment. They also allow jeans and colorful hair but thats just a bonus.
